At this time, we do not plan to expand to any other high schools. Check your local high school’s website to see if they offer college and/or CTE courses.
You must be an 8th grade student who maintains residence within one of the Ag Prep high school’s district boundaries, and;
You must be planning to attend the respective high school for which you are applying for the program.
There are no academic requirements such as a GPA or letters of recommendation.

Most schools begin enrolling students during the spring semester of a student’s 8th grade year and accept applications through mid-to late-April (it varies from high school to high school). To learn more about each school’s specific enrollment process please visit the school’s website or call the school’s main office.
EARLY APRIL FOR INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION AT SHAFTER HIGH SCHOOL
Seats are limited. If number of applications exceeds the number of available seats, schools may use middle school transcripts, short answer essay questions, and/or student interviews to determine if a student is a good fit for the program. Students with 504 or IEP plans are welcome to apply, and appropriate accommodations will be provided.
Students will be notified of their acceptance into the Career Pathways program before May 31st.
All students and family need to attend a program Orientation in the Summer. Program Coordinators will notify you of the date.
All high school except Shafter
Pass two-third (66%) of college courses in respective pathway program with a C or higher by end of 9th Spring semester
Pass all 9th grade A-G courses

Dual enrollment allows high school students to take college classes while they are still enrolled in high school. These classes count for both high school and college credit. High school students who complete dual-enrollment classes generally take fewer classes in college and save money on total college costs.
All college courses are offered for FREE. Students are also given a FREE laptop to use throughout high school to complete coursework.
